Today the team of SHOUTcast presented the new SHOUTcast Flash Player mini.
Starting from now, you do not get the download of the listen.pls file of every streamserver if you click “Tune In” but it appears a Popup with an included Flash Player.
On the one hand it is just a trend to listen to web radios via web player, because YouTube & Co. are using all that via Flash very successfully and you do not have to own an external media player.
On the other hand you are still able to load the TuneIn links with using a common media player like WinAmp. You can choose what you desire! If you have cookies activated, you can see what you were listening to at last.

We’ve implemented a new major update to SHOUTcast.com that will allow you to listen to any of the thousands of radio stations in the SHOUTcast directory through a mini pop up player. However, note that you can still choose to continue to listen to SHOUTcast stations through your preferred media player, such as WinAmp, iTunes or Windows Media Player.
To Try Out our New Pop Up Player
Simply click on the “Tune In” link next to any station in the SHOUTcast directory. From there, the pop up player will show up with play, stop, volume controls as well as the SHOUTcast directory underneath the player for easy browsing. *NOTE: The miniplayer requires the latest version of Adobe Flash. Also, the miniplayer only supports stations that stream in MP3 – due to some known-issues with streaming AAC+ content in Adobe Flash.
To Keep Listening Using Your Favorite Media Player
Clicking on it will pop up the settings window (below). Here, you can choose to use the SHOUTcast Radio Mini Player or switch to using your regular Default Media Player (such as Winamp, Windows Media or iTunes).

Hi. ist ja nicht schlecht.
Den sollte es zum Download geben,
so das jeder der einen eigenen Shoutcast server betreibt, diesen auf seine Webseite einbauen kann.

Ich hatte schon des öfteren hier in Frage gestellt, wann das neue Shoutcast Radio DSP Plug-In rauskommt, was dann auch hoffentlich Vista Windows 7 tauglich ist. Ich habe darauf leider nie eine richtige Antwort erhalten. Mit wurden Sam Broadcaster und andere Programme vorgeschlagen. Damit ist meine Frage leider nicht beantwortet gewesen.

Hallo,
dies ist eine Sache, die derzeit sehr viele Leute nachfragen, auch im Winamp Forum. Es gibt von SHOUTcast keine Antwort darauf, ausser, dass man auf das neue SHOUTcast 2 warten muss.
Da ich persönlich davon ausgehe, dass entweder sc_trans noch sehr viel weiterentwickelt wird und dann erst Version 2 des Servers rauskommt, denke ich, dass dies noch eine ganze Weile dauern könnte. Oder aber das DSP Plugin wird bald ebenfalls sc_trans heissen, da gabs mal Gerüchte zu.
Also nochmal Es gibt keine offizielle Antwort auf dieses Thema vom SHOUTcast Team, leider.

der flash player is ja nett. ein haken hat das teil. die zuhörer zahlen sinken, weil niemand mehr direkt den stream link anklicken kann – oder verstehe ich da was falsch

Naja, klicken kann man schon. Man muss es nur umstellen. Die Zuhörer landen natürlich auch weiterhin auf deinen Stream Servern. Aber finde die Lösung auch nicht soooo perfekt. Hat mit Sicherheit auch was mit mehr Page Impressions auf SHOUTcast.com zu tun…

Also den Player hab ick aktiv laufen als popup und ich meine nur deren player wer HTML kenntnisse hat kann das spielendeinfach selber ^^

hallo ich habe mal eine frage wegen dem flash player ich habe selber ein gebaut und so funktioniert auch aber wenn jetzt 20 lisnter den flash player auf rufen dann werden zwar 20 lisner gezählt nur mit einer ip so meine ich das
Stream Status: Stream is up at 128 kbps with 36 of 300 listeners (17 unique)
woran ligt das ligt das daran das der flash player vom srrver aus die musik spielt und das shoutcast server nur die server ip nimmt oder ist das was anderes ?
