Since the beginning of the year, there has been the SHOUTcast Radio App available at the App Store of Apple, suitable for iPhone and the iPod touch.
Proud owners of an iPhone or iPod touch is now possible to listen to SHOUTcast radios when they are on the way. There are more than 25,000 different broadcast stations listed in the official data base of SHOUTcast at present, so you can listen to anything your heart desires!
You can download the App for free at the App Store! Just fill in “SHOUTcast” when you are searching and you will find what you were looking for! The App looks familiar to the SHOUTcast Radio Widget!
Unfortunately I own neither an iPhone nor an iPod touch, so if you own such a device, you are welcome to write a comment about your impression of the App. If there appear suggestions about the App’s improvement, I am going to forward it to the team of SHOUTcast.

die app ist simple und funktioniert sehr gut. man findet alle stationen unter 128kbit sehr rasch.
die auswahl der music genre ist zwar sehr sparsam gehalten. und radio stationen die nicht die standard genres gewählt haben findet man nicht gleich auf anhieb.

Auch 128kBit-Streams sind kein Problem. Habe gestern schön zum Einschlafen einen Sender aus der Kategorie Soundtracks gehört…

Wichtigsste Funktion:
“Einstellungen” => “Shoutcast Radio” => “Allow High Bit Streams”
Dann klappt es auch mit den 128er Streams

Hi … schade ist, dass man es nicht im Hintergrund laufen lassen kann (wie ipod), wenn man z.B. ein SMS schreiben will, muss man abbrechen …

Kann man bei dieser Applikation auch Manuell nach einem Sender suchen ?
Oder stehen nur diese von Shoutcast zur Verfügung ?

Meines Wissens nach soll Suchen möglich sein. Logischerweise aber nur nach Sendern, die auch public ins YP von SHOUTcast senden

Wir sind bei SC nicht gelistet.
Bislang ist das die einzige Anwendung für den i-Pid / i-Phone oder gibt es da noch andere Anwendungen ?
